Amir Mousavi, Director
Mr. Mousavi is the Company's Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Mousavi has worked in the investment industry since 1992 in the areas of marketing, accounting and as a sell-side analyst. During his career Mr. Mousavi earned the designations of a Canadian Investment Manager, a Derivatives Market Specialist and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.
Throughout his career, Mr Mousavi's direct and indirect efforts raised substantial capital for private equity funds, pooled trust funds, mutual funds and for junior companies in the private and public sector. Mr. Mousavi's network includes Canadian and US bank underwriters, mezzanine financiers, bridge financiers, investment brokers and private investors.
Mr. Mousavi has specific working experience with several small to mid capitalization companies in the mining and construction sectors assisting with financings, debt restructuring, corporate development and operations.
David Benson, Director
Mr. Benson has directed the Company's mineral exploration programs since 2010. Mr. Benson holds a B.Sc (hons) in Geological Sciences from the University of Manitoba and is a Registered Professional Geoscientist in both Manitoba and Ontario. Mr.Benson is a qualified person under NI 43-10. Mr. Benson has held a variety of intermediate to senior exploration positions, from grassroots to development-stage, with mining and exploration companies for over 10 years including Anglo American Exploration Canada, Falconbridge (Xstrata), Mustang Minerals, Rockcliff Resources and Laurentian Goldfields.
Chris Carmichael, Director, Member of the Audit Committee
Mr. Carmichael has been the CFO of Bison Gold from August 2007 to June 2011 and from August 2012 to present. Mr. Carmichael is currently the president of CRIS Inc., a company that provides a range of financial reporting, corporate secretarial and other services to TSX, TSX Venture Exchange, CNSX and pre-public companies. From 2003 to 2010, Mr. Carmichael was the CFO of GC-Global Capital Corp., a Canadian publicly listed merchant bank. Mr. Carmichael has been on a number of Board of Directors and has been an officer for a number of TSX Venture Exchange companies.
Mark Robinson, Director, Member of the Audit Committee
Mr. Robinson is a CFA charter holder and began his career in the investment industry in 1996, working for investment management companies such as Mackenzie Financial Corporation and more recently with INTAC (BVI) International Investments Limited, as the Chief Compliance Officer.
While at Mackenzie Financial Corporation, Mr. Robinson was responsible for communicating with key centers of influence. This involved dealing directly with investors, brokers and mutual fund analysts. Mr. Robinson regularly presented at sales conferences, broker meetings and national mutual fund award ceremonies. He was also responsible for writing fund commentary and analysis, in addition to liaising with fund managers, senior management, and journalists alike.
Mr. Robinson has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of: marketing, investment management, human resources, product management, compliance, investment advice, and financial controls. Mr. Robinson is approved by the BVI Financial Services Commission under the Approved Persons Regime and as a Tier 1 Compliance Officer.
Kaiser Akbar, Director, Member of the Audit Committee
Since July of 2014, Kaiser Akbar has been a director and Senior VP for Simcoe Renewable Energy Corp., a Canadian renewable energy company. Kaiser is also a corporate/securities lawyer in private practice in Toronto, with clients in technology, mining, brewery, investments and other sectors. Mr. Akbar has a Bachelor and a Masters degree in Economics from University of Manitoba (Pre-MA in 1990 and MA in 1992) and received his Juris Doctor (Law) degree in 1997 from Osgoode Hall Law School (Toronto). Mr. Akbar also passed the Canadian Securities Course under Canadian Securities Institute in 2000. As an attorney, Mr. Akbar spent 2 years in Europe working for an international law firm, Freshfields Bruckaus Deringer LLP between 2007 and 2009. While in Europe, Mr. Akbar was focused on listing Russian companies on the London Stock Exchange and Mergers & Acquisition work with major Russian companies. Prior to his work in Europe, Mr. Akbar was a securities transactional lawyer in Canada, working primarily in listing companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and working with private and public companies in debt and equity financing work, and domestic and international mergers and acquisition work. In addition, Mr. Akbar was director and member of the audit committee of NWM Mining Corporation, a TSX Venture Exchange company.
